Vertical Oyster growth offsets settlement of prototype OysterBreak

Here's a cutout from our three year old OysterBreakTM prototype in Rockefeller Refuge.  Vertical oyster growth has increased the height of the structure by over two inches.  

Unlike other methods, the OysterBreakTM creates a permanent living structure which can respond to changes such as subsidence and sea level rise.

New Contract with the Nature Conservancy
